I am going to tell you why I am so against puppies bought in pet stores. The pictures I have posted on the pages dedicated to puppymills is where the parents of those puppies live out their very sad lives. These are puppymills from both the United States and here in Canada.
These dogs are never handled, touched or loved. They will never ever get to feel the wind in their ears as they run free or the warmth of the sun on their faces. They will however get the blistering heat in the summer, and the freezing cold in the winter.
Can you imagine having your little dog or big dog living its life on a cage wire floor with so many other cage mates they barely have room to turn around. Can you imagine a female dog being left to whelp her puppies alone with no help season after season for as long as she keeps producing....and when she stops or if she should face a difficult delievery she will just be
thrown away like garbage or killed (most likely with a blunt object) to make room for a younger female. The puppies that are born have a very high mortality rate, but enough puppies survive to keep the mills producing. If a female doesnt produce she is killed...females are considered money not a life..
Next time you are in a pet store and you are looking through the window at those little fluffy faces looking back at you remember these pictures. Most of all remember for every puppy that is sold from a pet store it is one more female who is dommed to a life of misery. Every time a puppy is sold from a pet store it allows room for one more puppy to take its place.
Please contact a breeder or a rescue to get your new puppy and boycote the stores which sell
dogs and cats. If no one bought these puppies we would have no problem putting a stop to the millers. I am going to dedicate these next few pages to this subject.
